National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate entrance tests viz., Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2022-2023.
The examination, previously known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CU-CET), will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connections with the Universities.
The CUET (UG) - 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode and have four sections from which students can choose the suitable options that would match the requirements of the desired University.
Section IA and IB consist of languages. Section II offers choices regarding Domain Specific Subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Business studies etc. While section III includes General Test that encompasses General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, etc.
A student can take a maximum of 9 tests with 2 Languages, 6 Domain Specific Subjects and 1 General Test. A student can choose a third language as long as it is enlisted under Domain Specific Subjects.
The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and the Languages/Tests taken by them.
The syllabus and level of questions are bench-marked at the level of Class XII for students’ benefit.

Also, the nature of the examination being multiple choice questions (MCQ) based, students, need to study the subjects with different perceptions. Once the student feels his particular chapter is ready, he can attempt Topic Test provided at the end of each chapter. The solution to the Topic Test can be viewed by scanning the QR code provided below the test and the student can gauge his preparedness.
To excel in the examination complete and continuous preparation is required. A student should plan his schedule well and follow it meticulously. Sufficient breaks, a healthy diet, proper sleep and adequate indulgence in recreational activities are a must to replenish self.
